Perfect for matching both long and short length wire antennas for multi-band use. When used with the recommended lengths wire, the 9:1 ratio will allow the internal tuner of most rigs to easily match remotely mounted single wire antennas.
For additional versatility, the 4:1 ratio will handle any random, non resonant length of wire which can then be matched using an ATU or many internal tuners. Plus this ratio is commonly used to increase performance of 19, 31 and 43 foot multi-band verticals.
Both matching ratios cannot be used at the same time.
