FIRST CUBESAT SATELLITE DEVELOPED BY BRAZILIAN COMPANY FINISHES ENVIRONMENTAL TESTS

The Engineering Model, the first development model, of the NANOMIRAX / CRON-1 nanosatellite carried out its environmental testing campaign at the Integration and Testing Laboratory (LIT), of the National Institute for Space Research (INPE) / MCTI. Dynamic and thermal cycle tests were carried out at ambient pressure to accept some subsystems of the satellite. This satellite is the first cubesat (2U) developed by a private Brazilian company, CRON, created by researchers from INPE. The project was selected in one of the calls for the FAPESP Small Business Innovation Program (PIPE). Also participating in the project are the company EMSISTI, created by former students of INPE’s graduate program, the Brazilian companies HorusEye and USIPED, and the Astrophysics group at INPE.See more information at : https://www.facebook.com/astronauta.marcospontes
