Greatest challenge facing amateur radio now: not relevance, from within the hobby itself. Elitism – you must have the knowledge.  

Excited most by: propagation, making contacts on massive openings on 6 meters.  Making DXCC on 6 Meters, and newcomers with passion about the hobby. 

Advice to new or returning hams: take it at your own pace, and don’t be put off by the lack of knowledge, focus on one aspect of the hobby to learn about first.
