S.P.E Expert has been selected as the exclusive amplifier for the Bouvet DXpedition

This week we rcvd 4 x S.P.E amplifiers in Oslo. All amplifiers have been fully serviced for free at the factory in Italy, and some minorcomponents have been replaced. With this we know that the amplifiers are in very good condition prior to our trip. Thanks to S.P.E for offering their services and products to the 3Y0J Bouvet DXpedition.

At Bouvet we will bring with us 10 x S.P.E amplifiers. This inlucde 2 spare amps. We will use several models ranging from the 1.0, 1.3, 1.5 and 2.0K-FA. The 160m station will specifically be equipped with a K3S with sub receiver for diversity and one 2.0K-FA amp.

Below some photos from the S.P.E factory in Italy – the headqaurter and the test lab.In addition some team members bring their own personal S.P.E amplifier, as well we do have some brand new ones.

The new ones are being loaned to the DXpedition by LA7JO and LA7QIA who will use the amplifiers for some months before handing over the fully tested amplifier to the Bouvet team in Oslo, Norway.Some
