$50 Application Fee To Get your Ham License? Really FCC?!?!?

The FCC has issued a new proposal to start charging $50 for every application put forth to the FCC. That means that anytime you get your license, upgrade your license, or renew your license you will have to pay a $50 fee!! To go from no license to an Amateur Extra class license, it will cost you $150, unless you take all three tests in one sitting. This, I feel, is a major deterrent to anyone trying to get in the hobby, especially you people or those that live on a tight budget.
